EL AL Fleet – Historic – Boeing 767-300s

In each fleet list ‘MSN’ refers to the Manufacturer’s Serial Number, and ‘LN’ refers to the production Line Number.

Copyright to each photo in the fleet lists belongs to the respective photographers noted. When a photographer’s name is followed by a parenthetical reference, that refers to the applicable license to publish. All such licensed photos are taken from the Wikimedia Commons website ‘Aircraft registered in Israel’ and have been resized for purposes of this site. The reference ‘CC-BY-SA’ refers to a ‘Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike’ license, and the number following it refers to the version of such license.

767-330 (ER). MSN 25208/LN 381. First flight 10 July 91. Delivered to Ansett Worldwide Aviation Services and sold to Condor, 30 July 91 as D-ABUY. Subsequently also operated by Air Europe Italy (as EI-CIY, I-AEIY and I-PEIY), Air Afrique, Volare Airlines, Sobelair (as OO-SLT) and Dutch Caribbean Airlines. Delivered to EL AL under lease from GECAS 25 Mar 04 and registered as 4X-EAJ. Fleet #635, named ‘Bat Yam’. Operated last EL AL 767 flight, 3 Feb 2019, and then withdrawn from use.

767-3Q8 (ER). MSN 27600/LN 655. First flight, 7 April 1997. Delivered under lease to Air Europe Italy (as EI-CNS), April 1997. Then leased by Belair (as HB-ISE) from May 2002. Reverted to lessor, February 2010. Leased by EL AL June 2010 and registered 4X-EAK. Fleet no. 612, named ‘Rehovot’. Damaged 28 March 2018 when the tail of a Germania 737-700 being pushed back at Tel Aviv struck EAK’s starboard elevator. Withdrawn from use as uneconomical to repair in view of imminent planned retirement. Then scrapped.

767-33A (ER). First flight 11 January 2000. MSN 27477/LN 780. Delivered to CityBird as OO-CTA, 10 March 2000. Later operated by Vietnam Airlines (OO-CTA and VN-A761), Air China (B-2497), VARIG (PR-VAB) and GOL (PR-VAB). Delivered to EL AL 2 April 2011 under lease from AWAS and registered 4X-EAL. Fleet no. 613, named ‘Mishmar HaEmek’. Withdrawn from use, 20 Jan. 2019.

Fleet #614, named ‘Daliat el Carmel’. Withdrawn from use and stored at Tel Aviv, 1 Feb 2019.

Then stored at Phoenix Goodyear Airport, Arizona, 1 Dec 2019.

Subsequently also operated by Aer Lingus (as EI-CAM), Trans World Airlines (as N632TW) and Icelandair (as TF-FIA). Acquired by EL AL and re-registered as 4X-EAP, 16 May 2006. Fleet no. 634. Named ‘Herzliya’. Withdrawn from use 14 Sept. 2018, and stored at Kansas City, Missouri, Airport (MCI), 15 Sept. 2018. Registered as N953KW to Alta Airlines Holdings, Nov. 2018.

Then leased to Vietnam Airlines (VN-A769). Intended to lease to EL AL as 4X-EAQ but not taken up. Leased to EL AL by AerCap 1 Aug 06 as 4X-EAR. Fleet no. 633, named ‘Kfar Saba’. Withdrawn from use, 12 Oct. 2018. Stored at Phoenix Goodyear Airport (GYR), 7 Dec. 2018.
